Vanilla Whipped Cream

Whipped cream. Pillowy, vanilla, creamy goodness. And it’s so easy to make you’ll wonder why you ever bought whipped cream from the store! There are literally three ingredients in homemade whipped cream – heavy cream, vanilla and powdered sugar.

Homemade whipped cream adds that special, homemade touch to any dessert and is the perfect compliment to my Key Lime Pie, Hot Cocoa or Magic Shell Ice Cream Sundae recipes. Or enjoy it with a spoon right out of the bowl like my kids do :).

Tips and Tricks for making this homemade Whipped Cream recipe:

When you are beating the cream, you want soft peaks, which means you are looking for the whipped cream to hold a slight peak when you pull the beater out of the bowl of cream. Be careful not to over beat it or you will get sweet butter instead of whipped cream!

Description

Homemade whipped cream recipe.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 Tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions

Add all the ingredients to a medium mixing bowl. With a hand blender, whisk the cream until soft peaks form. Keep covered in the fridge until ready to use.
